I’d like to pitch that when Vampire Weekend eventually calls it quits, front-man Ezra Koenig stars in a TV remake of the classic show Welcome Back, Kotter.
Ezra, having taught eighth grade English before the band took off, will be welcomed back to his class of now eleventh graders. I haven’t worked out the whole “Sweathogs” gang yet, but I think the possibilities of a hit show are there. Or at least a decent SNL skit.
